Unsafe Thinking for Project Leaders
David Hunter Account Executive Quartech

In a rapidly changing world, we need to apply unsafe thinking. Safe thinkers relying on standard approaches won’t overcome the challenges of today. Unsafe thinking is the ability to meet challenges with a willingness to depart from standard operating procedures; to confront anxiety, tolerance, criticism, take intelligent risk, and refute conventional wisdom to achieve solution breakthroughs. Learn how to lead project teams successfully through change with a different mindset.

Injecting Agility for Breakthrough Project Results
Himanshu Narang, Author and Corporate Trainer

Agile has presented our project management world with a strong, viable option to managing our work. But it does not have to be an all or nothing approach.   All project managers should be looking at Agile with an eye to improve your approach to project work, regardless of the environment you are working in or the methodology your organization has adapted.  This session will show you the concepts, ideas and tools from Agile that are open to any project manager.

Common Pitfalls Even Experienced PMs Make & How To Avoid Them
Rachelle Grant, TELUS Communications

Project Managers are (or should be) always looking for ways to improve as professionals.  Looking for better ways to manage client expectations, scope creep, stakeholder communications, constant change and more. This session will take 27 years of experience at TELUS and deliver five critical lessons learned that we can all take away and consider as we strive for that desired improvement.

Project Leadership and Organizational Leadership are NOT the Same Thing
