Emergence Leadership During & After COVID-19
Dr. Jill Birch, BirchGrove Inc.

Remember the “good old” days of January 2020? Concerns you had at the beginning of the year likely pale in comparison to what you now face. As we pivot between “what was”, “what is” and “what will be”, leadership is being recast. This keynote will begin by preparing you to assess where your biggest gaps and vulnerabilities exist.

Participants will identify their biggest leadership challenges and explore the 5 stages of crisis and competencies required to confidently navigate them. We’ll assess our readiness to lead and coach in four critical capabilities including communications, culture, management and leadership.

As we work to close these gaps, we’ll explore the different kinds of behaviour that will be needed during all phases of the pandemic.

Dancing Inside the Waterfall – Borrowing Agile Concepts to Benefit Your Waterfall Environment
Ryland Leyton, CBAP, CSM

Agile has presented our project management world with a strong, viable option to managing our work. But it does not have to be an all or nothing approach. All project managers should be looking at Agile with an eye to improve your approach to project work, regardless of the environment you are working in or the methodology your organization has adapted. This session will show you the concepts, ideas and tools from Agile that are open to any project manager.

Artificial Intelligence for Project Management: Hero or Villain?
Paul Boudreau

AI will disrupt our project management methodology and no one really understands if this wave of new technology will be beneficial or detrimental. This presentation starts with a brief review of the current myths and misconceptions about using artificial intelligence for project management. Next, is a thought-provoking preview of the machine learning tools being developed by my research team. These new tools will either scare you or excite you (or perhaps both). Regardless, being knowledgeable about AI is the only option for successful implementation.

The Strategic Mindset – For Your Organization, Your Career and Your Life
David Barrett, Solutions Network Ltd. / ProjectTalks

Strategic thinking used to be difficult. Now it’s really tough. How can we think and plan for tomorrow when we don’t even know what tomorrow is going to look like? This session will focus on the new tools we need to use to plan for tomorrow: for our organizations, our careers and our lives.
